Cartagena de Indias combines its rich history and culture with an impressive industrial activity force that includes petrochemicals, bio-fuels, an agro-industrial area, maritime ports, logistics and shipyards. Cartagena is considered excellent tourist destination, visited by people from all over the world. Cartagena de Indias has developed a hotel infrastructure that allows it to host important international cultural events such as the Hay Festival, International Music Festival, the International Cinema Festival and many more. Alongside tourism, Cartagena’s location makes it the most important port in Colombia, and one of the most important in South America, receiving cargo ships and cruise ships from all over the world. It´s industrial zone has more than 124 industrial firms, which export products all over the world. Cartagena de Indias is also a great place for sports fans. Its beaches host important volleyball, softball and mini-soccer tournaments. Windsurfing, sailing and yachting take place out in the seas of its shore.

Methodology:

The methodology applied throughout this course is based on communication and combined with socio-cultural elements that will enrich the learning process and the development of Spanish as a second language. In addition the course is full of authentic material with opportunities to apply what is studied and put this new knowledge into real situations where an interaction with native speakers will play a vital role in the relation between student, teacher and the community beyond these academic walls.

Duration:
Courses of 20 hours a week, and tailored courses according to the student needs.
